The ratio between the amount of raw data held by companies and their ability to analyse and exploit the data is often great. The ongoing increase in the number of sensors will further accentuate this relationship. I analyse and model data with the aim of revealing latent information that is hidden but useful for process optimisation, business management and decision-making. My background includes a PhD in information systems and over 20 years' experience in applied research and engineering consultancy. Environmental systems is my favourite field and I have extensive knowledge in this area. However, all datasets potentially contain useful hidden information. My aim is to make the tools of data science and machine learning available to everyone. I work in all economic sectors and all types of organisations, from not-for-profit associations and multinational companies to public sector entities and SMEs.
